A4A launches its educational events with a panel on “Building Sustainable Non Profits and Community Initiatives in Africa”

This month, All for Africa is launching its educational series of events, which will focus on sustainable development in Africa.  The first in the series of events will be a roundtable discussion on “Building Sustainable Non Profits and Community Initiatives in Africa” to be held on April 20th.  The purpose of this roundtable is to discuss how a sustainable non profit/community sector in Africa can be achieved.   The following issues will be addressed: 
 
1.Sustainable sources of operational funding; and
2.Capacity building for indigenous community initiatives.
 
The panel will be moderated by Jeannine B. Scott, former VP, Africare, and panelists include Benjamin Afrifa, grants and investments administrator at Ford Foundation; Robert Skinner, Associate Director at the New York office of the United Nations Foundation; Matt Mitro, founder Indego Africa; Tiffany Persons, Executive Director Shine On Sierra Leone; Peter Eliassen ,VP Sales and Operations Vision Springs; Saran Kaba Jones, Executive Director Face Africa; and MacDella Cooper, Executive Director Mac Della Cooper Foundation .
