Ms. MacDonald joined All for Africa in June of 2008 and coordinated All for Africa’s inaugural launch event “Knock Out Poverty.” Prior to joining All for Africa Ms. Burstein spent the last four years as consultant to not for profit organizations specializing in special events and program development.
Diane spent eight months in the position of Acting Director for Iron Chef Cat Cora’s organization Chefs for Humanity. During that time, she created a series of special events for fundraising; partnered with the World Food Program on a tour of Honduras and Nicaragua; and developed a national nutrition program in partnership with NIH.
While at Action Against Hunger, an international Hunger Relief organization, she developed and implemented a national restaurant campaign and celebrity launch event featuring celebrities from both the culinary and fashion industry. Theses events were designed to raise the awareness of young professionals regarding the broad and devastating effects of hunger particularly on women and children throughout the world.
Ms. MacDonald was the Founder and Director of two educationally focused not-for-profit organizations; The Telamon Community Center, an After School and Arts Programs for Children and Teens, and the Yoga Learning Connection a yoga-based educational program for school children and children with special needs. Her passion for children, nutrition, and learning lead her to develop Sensory YogaPlay: a Therapeutic Practice for Children with Special Need a workshop for educators and health professionals.
Ms. MacDonald was the successful owner and operator of a full service event planning and production company and temporary staffing agency known as Artful Events Ltd. Clients included Big Brother of Boston, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Verizon, Beacon Consulting, Sun Microsystems, and The Boston Ballet.
Busie Matsiko is a Co-Founder of Fashion Indie Media which serves as a platform for independent and upcoming fashion designers, models, writers, and publishers. Miss Matsiko is mindful of her Uganda and South African heritage, and is actively involved in activities that pertain to the continent and has been involved with organizations like UNDP, Action Against Hunger to mention a few. She currently advises a number of organizations such as Fesman and Angel Africa, which have an interest on maximation of potential in Africa on strategy and development. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BBA-Management from Berkeley College and has an excellent financial background having worked with top tier companies such as Smith Barney, Oppenheimer & Company, Citibank and SEEDCO in different portfolios. Her deep passion for Africa inspired her to work with All For Africa in the area of Outreach and Development.
Paula Naggaga coordinates marketing and events at All for Africa. She holds a Master of Science in Marketing degree from Baruch College in New York City and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. Ms. Naggaga was born in Ethiopia and is a citizen of Uganda
Steve Wasira Jr. is with Sithe Global as a business Development Manager with a focal point in business and investment in Africa. Mr. Wasira is native of Tanzania, and a graduate of University of Maryland with a BS degree in Information Management Systems. As a member of the All for Africa staff, he plays an integral role in program development and implementation.
Misengabo-Esperance Kapuadi is a freelance photojournalist based in New York City and is also a founding member of the Georges Malaika Foundation for whom she has been managing the ground research operations. Deeply committed to exploring the African continent social dynamics at every level, she seeks to capture the essence of human struggle and joy in her photographs.
