Most of you have been All For Africa supporters for about a year now.  But let’s get back to the back to the basics ….All For Africa 101

All For Africa is a unique New York based non profit organization. We believe that aid should be not be seen as a handout but seed capital to form sustainable enterprises.

How do we achieve this?  Well, we work with the private sector to foster projects that generate economic and social benefits in the communities in which they are located.  Our programs focus on agriculture, livelihood creation, community health, education and skills training, clean water, energy, environmental impact, and micro-financing.

Our mission is based on:

1) The belief that the growth of a strong middle class is the key to the development of the African continent
2) Our experience in large scale infrastructure development and CSR that  pointed to the need for more collaboration between private and social sector
3) Our recognition that successful business development requires significant investment in physical and social infrastructure and the creation of meaningful employment opportunities
4) The  realization while funding projects in health, education and skills training of  the necessity for the creation of long-term and sustainable funding sources – we recognized the “here today, gone tomorrow” problem of the traditional philanthropic funding model
5) The need to provide a better quality life not only for the current generation – but for the generations to come
