WHO IS ALL FOR AFRICA? All for Africa is a new kind of not-for-profit. The organization, founded in 2008 by a group of New York City-based entrepreneurs, believes that aid should be viewed not as a handout but as seed capital to form sustainable enterprises. All for Africa partners with the private sector, launching innovative projects that create sustainable local economies empowering communities in Africa to better control their economic destinies. |
WHAT IS PALM OUT POVERTY? The POP Initiative is All for Africa’s flagship agricultural campaign, directly impacting Western Africa through the creation of 700 agricultural jobs, infrastructure and enterprise development, habitat preservation and carbon dioxide reduction. In addition to the direct impact in communities in Ghana and Cameroon where the trees are growing, POP creates long-term streams of revenue, generated through the production and sale of palm oil. It is estimated that POP will generate over $700 million over the next 35 year to fund program development and capacity building of essential programs in clean water, community health, education, energy, environmental impact, micro-financing and skills training/livelihood creation. This initiative is possible through a partnership with Herakles Farms who is subsidizing a portion of the initial cost of planting and cultivating these trees. |
HOW IS YOUR DONATION UNIQUE? All for Africa’s Palm Out Poverty Initiative greatly differs from many other philanthropic campaigns because it works on local, continental, and global scales. In addition to creating jobs, infrastructure and enterprise within Ghana and Cameroon, Palm Out Poverty has a much greater impact because of its sustainability. POP avoids the here today, gone tomorrow problem of philanthropic funding since it will generate an estimate $700 million dollars over 35 years in funding for additional economic and social infrastructure development that will benefit the entire African continent. Finally, your donation will also help the entire world by decreasing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by 28,000,000 pounds every year! |
