The film is about Senegalese superstar Youssou N’Dour and the making of his Grammy Award-winning album “Egypt” and its divisive aftermath back home as the forces of conservative and moderate Islam contend to interpret it.

After the screening, the group headed over to the Club AfroPop experience at the Pierre Hotel Lounge on 2 East 61st Street. This event was hosted by All for Africa’s community partner AfroPop Worldwide
